Project News
December 2004:
Hi, Well it happened again, I have neglected the
website. :-(
Here is a quick update on whats been happening.....
The prototype printed last year had a few bugs in it that stopped it
working, a PCB was designed to fit in the prototype to overcome the
faults.
At the same time a new design was being designed and by the time the
pcb arrived the new design was already showing that it was a much
better and more conventional design.
Some time was spent on other none-coldfire, but Amiga relaited
projects, more news on that in a few months.
Also some things in my private life have got in the way. (dont they
always)
These include the family business being sold and the big move and work
involved in that, then a one day dip in to the world of motorsports
left me with a very broken right arm which has only now, after
two months got better.
I now have a number of designs almost ready to be printed including the
first A2000 Coldfire prototype with a 72pin memory slot and am working
on a CD32 design at present.
I am aiming for the new designs to be printed in late Jan as its to
late to be printed now and I am going away over new year. :-)
I have had a lot of interest in a Draco version of late and I will be
looking into that, anyone with information on pinouts of the two CPU
slots or even schematics please contact me, Thanks.
I will also be setting up a new website which I have had registered for
a while now, its Amigaupgrades.com, and I will be uploading a copy of
this website (cdtv.org.uk/coldfire) to that server soon. (may as well
make use of it, although I do have a new design for it I do have a lot
of work to do on it before it can be uploaded)
I hope that answers any questions, if not feel free to contact me. :-)
