17th September 2002:

As you may have noticed there havent been that many updates to this CDTV page, I have just been very busy working on the Coldfire project however this has not stopped the CDTV world from moving, I have managed to buy the Expander prototype, Phase5 TurboCD prototype, An A570 SCSI interface and finally a complete set of Commodore`s CDTV Developers documents covering everything from code numbers for the CDTV prototype ethernet card to a late edit saying the memory card slot was upgraded to take 512Kb memory cards....
I hope to contact Amiga soon and see if I can get permission to upload the developers documents.
I will be doing a redesign of the site soon, Not because it doesnt look fine but because of the menu system, Anyway this will mean the web site will go off-line for a couple of hours while I edit the web sites preferences, Hopefully you wont notice it but just dont be shocked if you get an error...
As for the coldfire project, The design is moving along reasonably well and although the prototype is designed for the A4000 a CDTV version will defintaly follow... For more information visit www.cdtv.org.uk/coldfire/.

Anyway keep an eye out for a major update soon.

9th June 2002:

Well has it been busy here, I have been talking to Guy Wright, The creator of The Commodore CDTV Welcome Disk and has he had some interesting things to say, Firstly the big news, The 6th CDTV CR has been found and is owned by none other than Guy himself, We have been talking about the CDTV CR and he has had some ground breaking news, Firstly that about 12 CDTV CR motherboards exist but he belives only 6 were actually put in cases to be shown at developers conferences, That is 6 standard CDTV CR`s, I now have a new goal in life... Guy has told me about the rarest CDTV on the planet, The Albino CDTV CR, Yep its white and you know you want it...
Guy also talked about the team Commodore got together to make the CDTV, The Commodore Special projects devision and more, All of this can be found in the full length interview only on this site (God doesnt that sound commercial doesnt it?)
Guy also has some documents on the CDTV CR and CDTV P (Latter called the Pro pack which consists of the CDTV, keyboard, diskdrive, mouse and joypad), This is the first know document on the CDTV CR, Until now we could touch the CR but it was like Commodore`s little abortion, No paperwork anywhere and no software but Guy has both, He was given the CDTV CR because he was to make the new welcome disk, Documenting all the ports, Abilitys of the CR and software that was to be made for it and we have a picture of the CD (I know its just a CD but its the only CD known to be for the CDTV CR.)
Also the CDTV Zorro card project moves one step closer with the production of the first PCB (The card minus all the connectors), Its sitting here waiting for the connectors to be fitted and then for the big test, Visit the Projets section for a photograph of the card as it stands today.
I am still working on this little redesign of the site and hopefully it will be uploaded today or tommorow (Or just today from your point of view), The update will also start "Ask Guy", Guy wright has offered to try and answer your questions about his past Amiga relaited work for a short time, E-Mail your questions to askguy@cdtv.org.uk.
On another note Richard de Keijzer has let us use his domain name (www.cdtv.nl) making it even easier to find us, thankyou Richard.
Richard is a CDTV user and his CDTV is a little different, His has a 1.74Meg High density floppy disk drive, Its a Dell DX9 external laptop drive, Its slim, Amiga compatable and very very cool, It needs an adapter cable made up and we intend to bring you the information very shortly on how to give your CDTV a massive storage space (of 1.74Meg) and read PC disk`s (1.4 Meg) with ease.
Keep an eye out for that shortly.
The CDTV Users club has now moved onto Yahoo`s server which gives us a nice posting board, 20Meg file area and unlimited band width, Joining is now almost instant as you just type in your E-Mail address and your subscribed.
Anyway as you can see its been a busy week and isnt going to slow down I can tell...
Talk again soon...
