Microdeal`s Voice Master sound capture card.

This is an audio capture card for the CDTV, It was made by Microdeal for use with language training programs from companys like EuroTalk.
The card connects into the parallel port at the rear of the CDTV and requires no other connections (The power is drawn through the parallel port).
The card comes complete with a microphone but no software. The card requires a driver to be loaded before the card will work (And so only programs designed to use the card will work).
There were a few pieces of software available for this card from the educational cd`s (Asterix & Son.) to Karaoke cd`s (Joky Karaoke).
The card turns your voice into a digital signal which the CDTV then decodes back to audio before playing it back through the CDTV`s audio system, This is a limitation of the parallel port (It cant handle standard audio) but a program could be (And most probably has been) wrote to use it as an audio recorder.
This card is quite rare, Even though it was launched at the same time as the first CDTV, I have yet to see one come up forsale but such a card would fetch between £17-£30.
Although the card was designed for the CDTV any Amiga could use it as long as it can emulate a CDTV, The CDTV emulation is only needed because all of the titles which support it are on (CDTV) CD`s.
